HY-768 Organic Bentonite

Product features HY-768 organic bentonite is a kind of newly modified rheological additive with activation, high effectiveness of geling, high thixotropy, easy to disperse, small dispersion fineness and high transparency. It can be applied in low to high polarity systems. HY-768 organic bentonite is widely used in the ares such as coating, paint, ink, sealant and cosmetic. Its comprehensive capabilities are better than the same product abroad. It has the functions as below： (1) High viscosity: the product has high gel viscosity and strong thixotropy in low to medium polarity solvent system or resin system. (2) Easy to disperse: it doesn’t need to use polarity activator when it is dispersed, the speed of dispersing and geling is very fast, and the dispersing fineness is very small, which is better than the same product in domestic market. (3) High transparency: due to its high transparency, the dispersing fineness is very small, thus the transparency is very high. Appearance, physical and chemical indexes Appearance Loss on ignition % 33.5~36.5 Granularity(<0.076mm) % ≥95 Moisture content % 0.8~3.5 Viscosity,Pa·s ≥0.9 Operation method: HY-768 can be dispersed at normal temperature in organic solvent and resin system, it can increase the visicosity of the system and has a property of thixotropy, and high speed shearing equipments and polarity activator are necessary to have the best dispersing effectiveness. HY-768 needs polarity activator to make it fully dispersed, the applicable polarity activators are as follows:carbinol/water (95/5), ethanol/water(95/5) and acetone.The amount added of polarity activators can be adjusted according to the systems. Generally speak, the appliable amount is 30-50% of the total weight of organic bentonite. The add method of the products are pre-gel method and powder method which can be confirmed by the customers' test. Operation amount: The amount of HY-768 added into the system is generally 0.2-2.0% of total weight. Packiaging and storage: Brown paper packages plus internal polyethylene film bags, or paper packages with valve mouths are used. The weight of each package is generally 25±0.25 kg according to customer demands. Keep it in dry places with temperature of 0℃-30℃. The quality guarantee period is 36 months.
