Coumarone resin is a light yellow to dark brown granular, massive or flake solid thermoplastic resin. Using main material of ethylene, re-constituent of C9 fraction and ethylene bottom oil, through polyreaction, it becomes low molecular weight polymer. It has good solubility, mutual solubility, water-resistance, insulativity, chemical stability of the PH; also it has good adhesion properties and low thermal conductivity.

Coumarone Resin has the following characteristics:
Rubber tires mainly use low softening point coumarone resin which has a good miscibility with natural rubber particles. It does not have effect on rubber vulcanization process, but plays a role in tackifying, reinforcement and softening.
Paint and Ink mainly uses high softening point coumarone resin. It can enhance the gloss of paint and improve the adhesion, hardness, acid and alkali resistance of paint film.
